Your Instructor
Dr. Robyn Pashby is a licensed clinical health psychologist and the founder of DC Health Psychology, a group of behavioral health providers who specialize in the treatment of obesity and other chronic health conditions. In addition to her thriving clinical practice, Dr. Pashby has authored or co-authored numerous publications in the area of weight management including peer-reviewed scientific articles, book chapters, and blog posts. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, both evidence-based interventions for issues related to eating and weight.
Before founding DC Health Psychology, Dr. Pashby served as a clinician for multiple National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research projects exploring the prevention and treatment of obesity. She also helped establish and served as the Assistant Director and head clinician for the National Center for Weight and Wellness in Washington DC. Dr. Pashby lives in Washington DC with her husband, daughter and dog.
