The stress eating cycle

At the most basic level, you have likely realized that your stress eating isn't really helping you anymore.

Stress eating is a common response to stress. And in the short-run, stress eating can make you feel a little better (I mean, honestly, who doesn't like tasty food!?). But more than just tasty food, stress eating can actually change your brain chemistry causing a temporary mood boost! So no, you're not crazy. There is nothing wrong with you.

But if you are in this course, then you know that stress eating over time is no longer serving you. It is likely causing more problems. It is increasing your anxiety. It makes you feel badly about yourself. It leads to weight gain. It interferes with your quality sleep.

It is time to make a change.
